The Mark 1 trench knife was developed to replace the less effective Model 1917 and 1918 versions, abandoning the triangular blade in favor of a double-edged flat blade that performed far better in combat. When U.S. forces needed blades quickly, the first production runs were sourced from Au Lion in France—a detail cherished by collectors today.

The Mark 1911 Trench Knife captures that same heritage with updated materials, improved machining, and a feature that sets it apart from other trench knife reproductions.

One of the most unique features of this trench knife is its handle.  Purposely molded after the 1911 pistol grip frame. This allows you to mount your own real 1911 grips directly onto the knife—turning old, swapped-out panels into a functional, personalized piece of gear.
